Asthma Outreach Coordinator (Bi-Lingual)

The Registered Nurse Asthma Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation of programs that improve the daily functioning of persons with asthma and other lung related problems. S/he is responsible for conducting outreach, planning, implementing, and providing evaluation information for agency programs that respond to the educational, psychological, and physiological needs of children and adults with the diagnosis of asthma and other lung related problems, as well as their families and other caregivers. This Breathing Association staff member will be responsible for conducting community outreach and home visits to children and adults with asthma.

Off-Campus Work Study Job Opportunities

The Breathing Association, a 106 year agency, has positions available for The Ohio State University students seeking employment through the work-study program. APPLICANTS MUST MAKE THE APPLICATION AT OSU.

The Breathing Association serves low income individuals from throughout Franklin County.

  • FREE CLINIC PATIENT INTAKE WORKER will be responsible for greeting patients, and for collecting, recording and entering client information in electronic medical records system and on-line data management systems. S/he will also conduct follow-up calls to patients to verify referrals and access to outside services. S/he will assist the clinic manager as needed.   • BARRIERS TO HEALTH CARE CASE MANAGER will be responsible for confidential one on one client interviews, identification of client barriers to health care, linkages to appropriate services to address barriers, and follow-up with clients to verify linkages.   • HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM RECEPTIONIST is responsible for preparing case records, answering the phone and providing information on program eligibility, copying customer documents and relieving front desk staff as required. Contact Colette Harrell, HEAP Director, at 457-2997 for details.
